Biography: Joe received his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School where he earned a certificate in both American Indian Law and in Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources Law and Policy, and he served as an Articles Editor for the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law Review. Joe obtained his B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado while he worked as an Assistant Lab Technician in a soil crust ecology lab and competed as a member of the cross country and track programs. Joe began his career with a law firm in Albuquerque where he specialized in employment and labor matters on the Navajo Nation. Joe then worked for the United States Department of Agriculture in the Office of General Counsel, Civil Rights, Labor and Employment Division, litigation section, where he engaged in employment, labor and civil rights litigation before Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Merit Systems Protection Board administrative judges and in federal court. At Wiggins, Williams & Wesenberg, Joe’s practice includes advising clients on management-side labor and employment law issues and handling general litigation matters in state and federal court.
