Biography: Carol graduated Magna Cum Laude with her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law (“MHSL”), where she earned a certificate in Law and Business, and served as both Articles and Writing Editor for the MHSL Journal of Public Policy and Practice. Carol also graduated from the University of New Mexico (“UNM”) Ellis School of Business Leadership (“Ellis School”) as valedictorian of her Executive MBA Class. She obtained her B.B.A. with a concentration in Accounting from UNM’s Ellis School. Prior to joining Wiggins, Williams and Wesenberg (“WWW”), Carol was a Senior Principal for REDW, one of the largest locally owned CPA firms in the Southwest, where she started and led several consulting service areas within the firm. Carol is a CPA, and holds eight other financial, human resources, and compensation certifications. While a CPA, Carol represented numerous individuals, businesses, and Native American Tribes before the Internal Revenue Service and the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. Carol specializes in civil defense, employment claims, contractual disputes, and a wide variety of general legal matters. Carol’s previous experience in both federal and state court as a testifying expert witness, CPA, and subject matter expert makes her uniquely qualified to evaluate complex damage calculations and the financial aspects of litigation. As a community leader for many years, Carol was awarded the New Mexico Society of CPAs Lifetime Achievement Award, is a recipient of the UNM Ellis School of Business Leadership Hall of Fame, and was designated one of New Mexico’s Power Brokers and Women Who Mean Business by the New Mexico Business Weekly.
